- Bonding: On your final visit, the dentist will temporarily place the veneer on your tooth to examine its fit and color, repeatedly removing and trimming it to achieve the proper fit. Once the veneer is adjusted perfectly, your tooth will be cleaned, polished, and etched to ensure a strong bonding process. The veneer is then applied using a special cement, which is hardened with a light beam.
